Staying focused with the rockefeller habits

Yesterday, we held LatPro's first quarterly planning meeting using Verne Harnish's 'Rockefeller Habits' system. And wow, what a great tool for focusing the company!

The Internet is such an explosive and exciting medium at this early stage. Knowing that we really are still in the womb of the industry, anything seems possible... and that's how we ended up with 6 major projects / websites. That's a recipe for confusion for any business team with limited resources. Regular planning meetings and formal priortization are essential in this environment of extreme opportunity.

It's a process that builds trust, confidence and excitement about the growth of the company. I'm very thankful for the infusion of energy our brilliant and accomplished facilitator, Josh Corn brought to our meeting. Josh is a veteran Internet entrepreneur, EO member and inventor from Delray Beach. He co-founded Inergi Fitness (www.walkerswarehouse.com and www.bodytrends.com) and still sits on their board of directors. Josh is also currently consulting for www.restockit.com and www.stopagingnow.com. THANKS Josh!

Yesterday we fleshed out our core values and mission which we developed a year ago. They were vague and open to misinterpretation and therefore useless. Then we put togehter five goals for the fourth quarter that we can all get behind.

We also wish to thank The Huizenga School of Business and its Young Entrepreneurs Council for providing the perfect off-site location and first class facility. It's a great resource for Broward county entrepreneurs.
